Last time I did a kind of a recommandation for a song; I was right…. it was going to be “a hit”….. Kings of Leon - with “Sex on Fire”…
This week I heard this song of M.I.A. - Paper Planes…. and I needed to put that one on this site….!
But was going to do that today…. and what happened yesterday…??
In Holland I am “always” listening to Radio3FM…. and they have the kind of “weekhit” - which will be announced on the Friday before that week…. and yep - yesterday they picked this song…. Searched a bit more on the internet; already was a top 5 hit in the USA….

Sorry - for being/posting this one this late…. - but hey….. at least I found it…

Tonight I have been playing Guitar Hero for a little while…. I got the whole cd of Metallica - “Death Magnetics”….. and if was real fun to play….

In all honesty; I am NOT a brilliant GH player - so I even had a couple of songs which where a bit hard for me to play…..
Also a bit weird; to play something you totally didn’t hear before….
I didn’t play all the songs yet - I do like some of the music of Metallica - but a whole album…. uh… bit too much for me….
I was searching for some reviews on this game…. but than I read another kind of article…..;

Analysis: Metallica’s Death Magnetic Sounds Better in Guitar Hero

It seems that they used “another end mix” for the cd…… which resulted in more volume in the songs…. BUT…. in a BAD way….

On a Metallica forum have been posts about this - and according to mastering engineer Ian Sheperd this has been a result of the mixing

“the CD version on the bottom has been heavily compressed, limited and/or clipped, and sounds massively distorted as a result.”

End result; cd is 10DB louder than the GH version…. which means = the cd is TOO loud).

And people are even making a petition to make the band re-mix the album - so they could get the same quality as the GH versions….

Well; one point from me, as a gamer, why didnt Metallica also put the option to “buy” the album with the game…??

Now I am only able to listen to the songs during playing…. - but sorry…. this is not totally my music = and paying the whole amount for the album…?? NAH…..

AcidPro is a well known program for making music; a Professional Music Workstation as Sony describes it…

To make their own promotion - they also have a free kind of music editor; Acid Xpress.

And to make sure there is a kind of promotion behind it all; they created a kind of “music-scene” webpage.

the ACIDplanet.com; a community for digital musicians…..

But ok - enough of the Sony promotion; one of the funny things on the ACIDplanet page is the fact that they always have remix contests going on.

Sometimes even from real big bands….

Well; just check it - maybe you will have some fun overthere !!! You can listen to all kinds of remixex - made by people all over the world….. Maybe make your own remix …?? and maybe we will even compete….

Digimix - takes it to the next level….

Mmmh - my post about Digimix was only a couple of days ago. With that one - I did not realize that they would “turn off” the option to play with it…..
That happened today, 2nd of August.

I just realized that my flash 10 was not installed correctly (as the uninstall of flash 9 did NOT mention I needed to restart my computer) - so I wanted to try Digimix again… But nope; was not able to check it…. So maybe I was wrong - and all the saving stuff did work….

But okay - keep looking at the weblog of Digimix to see when they really put it to the next lever - and turn it back on….
