Yesterday I went to a little festival in my home town Leeuwarden/Holland. We had a small Frysk festival all week; and yesterday it was time for some Icelandic bands.

The band Reykjavik! is (well I thought) a young band - who play some “louder kind of Music”…. Some may call it indie…. some would call it rock…. But if I should make compare it; I would say - it sounded a bit between Smashing Pumpkins and Pixies; bit more Pixies then Pumpkins…..
They do a real nice show…… nice interaction with the audience….. And they where really impressed by the “huge stage”….. During the show they even had the audience sing for the (29th …. young band..??) birthday of one of the guitarists……
Yes; I did like the band…. but wow…. a little less talking… 
Vax; 3 guys - one drums - one singer/guitarist and one Farfisa organ player. Rhythm and blues - as they call it….. Well; I was ordering a beer and they started playing - and they impressed me the from the first second with playing “Ring of Fire” (June Carter Cash). A real good and simple version of this song….
Followed by a some own rhythm and blues songs - with in between some nice cover versions of different styles of songs…
Yes - I REALLY did like this band…. this one was talking a bit less….. but…. uh…
Sprengjuhöllin; sorry guys - this was NOT my cup of tea…..
I would call it boring etc etc….
But; you are in good company - during your show I did the same as I did with a show of Bryan Adams and a show of Sting; I walked away…….
(maybe the show got better after the first 3 songs….. - so a good review is impossible…..)
The festival; GREAT area…. not crazy prices for the beer….. good toilets…. nice lights….. good sound….
Yes; I REALLY did like the set up of this festival = I would say; WE WANT MORE……WE WANT MORE….. !!
