A very interesting musical experiment; Deerhoof is going to release a new record, called “Offend Maggie”.
But meanwhile they are putting a nice kind of idea on the internet;
you can download the sheet music of the new single; “Fresh Born” - which is not released yet.
With that sheet music you can make your own version and upload it to the website of Deerhoof…..

Personally I really think this is a real nice and funny idea…. almost kinda “freeware and open source” music.
Making a cover of a song which is not even released yet…. how close do you get to the original. AND what does the original artist think of your (maybe better..??) composition….??
