Monday Little Dutch Treat; Junkie XL - A little Less Conversation

Maybe one of the most famous songs…..uh… remixes made by a dutch person/band…..

Junkie XL; Tom Holkenborg - started playing keyboards at the dutch New Wave band Weekend At Waitiki. Although you probably would not expect it; but he has been working with bands like Sepultura and Fear Factory.
He started the Junkie XL carrier in 1998. The first couple of year he would play with a real band - with Rude Boy (Urban Dance Squad) as the lead singer.
He has been really successfull in making remixes - with this one as his huge breakthrough….. a remix of the Elvis Presley song “Little less Conversation”…. which was originally meant to be a song for a Nike commercial. In 2002 a no.1 hit in over 20 countries !

Strange detail; Junkie XL appearently didn’t get money from the single being sold millions of times; as the rights of the song belong to Nike…. to which he sold it for one (not even huge) amount of money.

And that is why - I also picked that version to play !
